The Desert Lily Joshua Tree Wedding.jpg

The Desert Lilly is a B&B in Joshua Tree that provides healing and placidness. It’s a place for lovers to profess their undying love to one another to the backdrop of nature, and for friends and family to come together.

I love this Joshua Tree wedding venue for a number of reasons. Firstly, they offer all-inclusive wedding packages, making it way less stressful for brides and grooms-to-be. Then, for those who crave a bohemian and rustic style, they boast panoramic views of of the gorgeous desert landscape with decor and features that will leave you and your guests in awe.

The Desert Lilly is a space for intimate weddings, with the capability of holding 28 wedding guests, and has 17 accommodation spaces for those looking to stay overnight. It is set on five acres of natural land, and an additional bonus is that it can be found a mere few minutes from the entrance of Joshua Tree National Park, an absolute must for those visiting the area.

A few more pros of this magical venue is the fact that there is more than enough shade for those who want to escape the summer sun, there is a built-in bar for cocktail hour, a slew of beautiful art work to gaze upon, as well as the option to dine and celebrate under the stars.

What’s also reassuring, is that this desert-chic venue has received five stars all-round from satisfied visitors. And if that isn’t enough to persuade you, The Desert Lily has been featured as one of the Top Ten Best Wedding Venues in California. Ready to commit to this stunning Joshua Tree wedding venue?

Folly Joshua Tree Wedding.jpg

It’s so inspiring to think that one small rustic-looking piece of architecture has the ability to transform your wedding photography into something so magical. And that is what Folly is all about. A minimalistic Joshua Tree wedding venue that focuses on the natural environment and a kind of off-the-grid-style wedding celebration.

The thought behind this architecture dates back to the 1950’s when the Homestead Act. worked to populate the Mojave Desert. This act required only four walls and a roof over five acres of land, which is why architect Malek Alqadi decided to keep the same style while incorporating touches of modernity and style.

The venue, which is 2.5 acres, can hold up 100 seated guests, and has an impeccable indoor space that has been built to withstand all kinds of weather fluctuations for your big day.

You can expect to pay anything from $25 to $200 per head, depending on your style and needs, and it’s important to note that catering is not provided by the venue. They do however have a comprehensive list of vendors to help you incorporate your catering needs.

Folly is also the proud owner of three different awards for their eco-friendly location from well-esteemed magazines and blogs.

Cultus Camp Joshua Tree Wedding.jpg

Looking for something even more secluded? Cultus Camp in Pioneertown offers privacy in a glamping-style setting over 18 acres of land. Its main purpose is to bring two people together to experience the zen of nature, and to marvel over the Mojave Desert.

They are proud to have zero light pollution and hold a sense of calm and quietness that is almost impossible to find elsewhere. And because of this intimate peace, they only offer small celebrations of up to 18 guests. They’re also super flexible with catering, so you can find your dream caterer to help you out on your big day, and you can BYOB.

At this gorgeous Joshua Tree wedding venue, you have the option of an indoor and an outdoor space, but music is strictly set to indoor-only. Dance the night away with your closest people inside, then head outside to gaze up at the clear night sky that has the ability to take your breath away. Can you picture anything more romantic?

Sacred Sands Joshua Tree Wedding.jpg

Found just outside one of the entrances to Joshua Tree National Park, Sacred Sands is an inn that specializes in intimate wedding ceremonies. And despite their small stature, they have indoor and outdoor spaces for your magical wedding, and the capacity to hold 130 guests.

This Joshua Tree wedding venue too has a rustic charm about it and wows its guests with natural mountain and desert valley views. Here, you’re given an almost-blank canvas to decorate beautifully according to your style and taste. With the stars shining down brightly, and the ones you love, one couldn’t picture a more romantic setting.

Another reason to consider Sacred Sands for your Joshua Tree wedding is that it has a curfew of 2 a.m, and it’s possible to BYOB (with a license). You and your guests can also stay in one of their delectable accommodation options with luxury bedding and lines, as well as a private spa and terrace.

And just in case you weren’t 100 percent sold as yet, actor Tom Hanks described this gorgeous venue by saying, “I couldn’t tell where heaven stopped and the earth began.”

Joshua Tree National Park Wedding.png

Joshua Tree National Park is decorated with rugged rock formations and breathtaking desert landscapes. And to tie the knot in this protected treasure is something many couples in love have often dreamed of. Luckily, it’s possible to hold an intimate wedding ceremony in this natural gem.

There are a few things to note however if you plan to say your “I do’s” in this haven.. A reception in the park is not possible, which means that you would need to find a second location for your wedding celebration. Also, there is no running water, no power, and little to no shade so wearing sun screen is a must on a hot summer’s day. You would also need to acquire a special permit to secure your date.

For those with a small wedding party of up to 25 guests, you can make use of one of six spaces: Live Oak, Split Rock, Hidden Valley Picnic Area, Quail Springs, Cap Rock, or the Rattlesnake Canyon Picnic Area at Indian Cove. And for a larger wedding party of up to 100, you can consider the Indian Cove Amphitheatre.

Other useful information: you can decorate your space with a small table, chairs, a water cooler, a wedding arch with fresh flowers (dried flowers are not allowed), bouquets, battery-powered candles, a wedding cake, and champagne. Fireworks, lit-candles, drones, and live animals are not permitted however.

For gorgeous weather, I recommend choosing your wedding in Joshua Tree National Park from mid-March to early May, or late September to mid-November. October and April are the prime months, but keep in mind that securing your permit should be done well in advance to avoid disappointment.

The Ruin Venue Joshua Tree Wedding.jpeg

Last but definitely not least, is The Ruin Venue. Before becoming what it is today - an enchanting private and outdoor Joshua Tree wedding venue, it was a small, abandoned stone house. Now, we have Paul Goff and Tony Angellotti to thank for creating one of the most romantic settings for couples to tie the knot.

I simply adore this space for a wedding as it is right next to Joshua Tree National Park, and it holds such a charming boho-chic design with natural tones, providing views of the open skies.

Currently, they offer informative and detailed information by contact only for those hoping to make this Joshua Tree wedding venue their own, which is why I recommend that you get in touch to find out more. But for a small peek, those who have experienced the true magic that The Ruin Venue holds for a big day, here are some reviews to inspire:

“Simply stunning. A magical setting. The views, the lighting, the ambience. This was a night I won’t forget.” - The Ruins Venue Facebook.

“This venue is incredible and they were great to work with. Everything was super easy and the vendors were all great. Our friends were all stoked about the space, we even have some who are looking to book events there now.” - The Knot.
